Bonnie was born and raised in Guelph Ontario, Canada. She recently retired from her career as an elementary school teacher after 32 years. Her teaching assignments have included Grades 2-8, Resource teacher, a Behaviour Resource teacher, a Special Education teacher and a Teacher Librarian.

Bonnie conducted numerous workshops for teachers and parents during her career. She is a certified Advanced Self-Esteem facilitator trained by Jack Canfield, co-author of the highly successful “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series of books. Her company The JOYologist Inc. conducts seminars for health professionals, women’s groups, businesses, church groups teachers and parents.

* Assessed, motivated, supervised and evaluated students in individualized remedial reading programmes with 85% success in achieving the stated objectives.
* Developed instructional strategies and curriculum units for enrichment and remedial students.
* Conducted numerous workshops and in-service programmes for teachers, parents and service clubs.
* Faculty Member on Language Arts Course for 100 teachers in Wellington County sponsored by the Ministry of Education.
* Supervised entire Summer School Programme with a staff of 54 teachers and 800 students in six centres throughout Wellington County.
